Frost & Sullivan's 2006 Award for Product Innovation of the Year Goes to IVR Technologies, Inc.

California-based IVR Technologies, Inc received Frost & Sullivan's 2006 Product Innovation of the Year Award for its phenomenal contributions to the field of interactive voice response (IVR) technologies based on the session initiation protocol (SIP). The Award acknowledges the company's efforts in product development and innovation, as proven by its development of 'Talking SIP', a software-only solution that offers real-time call state management, media streaming and billing along with broad industry interoperability.

Each year this Award is presented to a company that has demonstrated excellence in developing new products and technologies within their industry. The recipient company has also shown perseverance in launching a broad line of innovative products and technologies.

"Talking SIP is a software-only solution that does not require costly third party digital signal processor hardware in order to provide media and call control functionality," says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Amit Jain. "It also provides in-demand services and real-time billing functionality that helps drive higher margin revenues while maintaining tight financial control over the network."

As a native SIP enabled solution, Talking SIP is a pure VoIP solution that goes beyond what time-division multiplexing (TDM) application servers offer by providing a highly flexible platform that can be centrally deployed without the need for individual POP deployments.

Another attractive feature of Talking SIP is its interoperability with any SIP enabled device, such as gateways, soft switches, IP phones, soft phones, integrated access devices (IAD), and other types of software/hardware solutions.

In addition, Talking SIP can be deployed in either a centralized, decentralized or hybrid configuration providing low cost entry into new markets and reduced management overhead for the network.

"However, the primary advantage of IVR Technologies' Talking SIP solution comes from its excellent feature set, competitive pricing and ease of deployment," observes Jain.

The product can also scale from a 30-sessions/concurrent callers density to as many as 240 sessions/concurrent callers in a single node/blade. Moreover, additional nodes can be easily added to a network, which can scale out the network to over 9,600 concurrent callers.
Significantly, the Talking SIP can provide turnkey applications for; prepaid/postpaid calling card services, tandem class 4 switching, 800/900/DID redirect/termination, voucher recharge and a tightly integrated e-commerce suite for both web driven and dual-tone multifrequency (DTMF) driven subscriber sign up and account recharge.

Overall, Talking SIP has proven to be a breakthrough solution. It dramatically reduces business overhead for service providers by providing efficient and easy turn up and maintenance, a secure self-management interface for both end-users and network administration as well as out of the box applications that can handle calls in nine quick configuration steps.
