IVR Technologies and Quintum Technologies complete interoperability testing

IVR Technologies, a leading software developer for SIP based IP enhanced services and real-time billing, and Quintum Technologies, specializing in voice-over-IP technologies that bring reliability and voice clarity of public telephone networks to Internet telephony announced today that they have successfully completed session initiation protocol (SIP) interoperability testing between IVR Technologies' Talking SIP™ IVR platform and the Quintum line of Tenor VoIP MultiPath Switches.

The combined offering allows next generation IP service providers to deploy advanced revenue generating applications, such as second line services over broadband Internet, prepaid/postpaid calling cards, tandem switching, e-commerce and 800/900 termination, with a powerful range of real-time billing options along with intelligent call and media routing.

IVR Technologies' Talking SIP is a robust, feature rich software solution for real-time interactive voice services and billing that offers a complete suite of service ready enhanced service applications that drive increased revenue and profits into the network. Talking SIP performs real-time call processing via SIP messaging and provides independent, script-controlled interactive voice response (IVR) prompting via the real-time transport protocol (RTP) and Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) collection. Requiring only an Ethernet LAN 10/100/1000 Mbps connection, Talking SIP eliminates the need to consume costly public switched transport network (PSTN) ports by providing its intelligence to the network in a centralized or decentralized configuration on an on-demand basis via an IP network.

The Quintum Tenor VoIP solutions are extremely flexible and scalable, making it ideal for supporting a wide range of customers -- from those with traditional telephony environments to leading-edge organizations with IP phones and/or voice-enabled desktop PCs. It's currently being used by service providers all over the world to deliver the benefits of VoIP to paying customers.

"We look forward to partnering with Quintum. Their market success and phenomenal growth is a direct result of their ability to offer cost-effective, innovative and in-demand products across a broad range of port densities and protocols. Quintum's recent addition of the SIP protocol to their Tenor line of VoIP products, has allowed us to achieve interoperability between our Talking SIP enhanced services and billing platform, and their very successful line of VoIP switches. Our customers will benefit tremendously from their feature rich and scalable gateways and border controllers as well as their unique technologies such as MultiPath Call Routing and SelectNet Technology." said Randall O. Walrond, President, IVR Technologies.

Quintum Tenor's MultiPath architecture is unique in the industry, making it the only VoIP solution that can be deployed transparently in existing voice and data network with no modifications. The Tenor can be deployed at the enterprise premise easier than any traditional gateway solution, reducing deployment risk and cost. The Quintum Tenor CMS provides the only intelligent VoIP switch that integrates VoIP and circuit switching allowing Service providers to efficiently deploy VoIP services in their network.

"We are pleased to be partnering with IVR Technologies. Tenors' capabilities are enhanced by IVR's feature-rich sip-based platform," said Chuck Rutledge, Vice President of Marketing for Quintum Technologies. "Our relationship with IVR will provide service providers the opportunity to deploy rich SIP based services using Quintum's flexible VoIP MultiPath switch line of products, providing a common platform for offering solutions for a wide variety of customer needs, from small sites requiring analog interfaces to larger POPs."
