Report: 40 million IP telephony devices to be sold in 2015
Based on a report from In-Stat, calendar year 2015 is positioned to be a substantial one for VoIP device makers.
According to the research company's latest report, IP telephony devices sold worldwide will be more than 40 million units in 2015. As VoIP sales increased last year, analysts predict the trend will continue into the near future as more companies turn to VoIP for their advanced communication needs. Interestingly, analysts also saw that corded phones would continue to dominate the next five years, despite the rise of the mobile market -- a prediction that contradicts a report from Insight Research last week.
